1. Who we are
RoamSync ("we", "us") operates the website roamsync.app. For privacy questions, contact privacy@roamsync.app. For general support, contact support@roamsync.app.
2. What we collect
- Email address — when you sign up on a landing page or save an itinerary.
- Itinerary data (optional) — the cities, dates and passport nationality you enter into the calculator. By default this stays in your browser's localStorage; when you sign in and save an itinerary it is stored on our servers so it can be restored on another device.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. Tracks anonymous page views and CTA interactions.
- Marketing attribution — UTM parameters on the URL (source, medium, campaign) are captured alongside email sign-ups to measure which campaigns converted.
3. How we use it
- To send you the alerts and updates you signed up for.
- To measure which landing pages and traffic sources convert.
- To improve the product (e.g. which features are used, where users drop off).
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except: (a) the email and analytics services we use (Resend, Google) under their terms, and (b) where required by law.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use a single first-party localStorage key called roamsync-trip-state to remember your itinerary and preferences. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings. We do not use third-party marketing or tracking cookies; GA4 sets its own first-party cookies per Google's documentation.
5. Your rights (UK / EEA / Swiss users)
Under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, correct, erase, port and restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@roamsync.app. For general account support you can also contact support@roamsync.app. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
Email-only sign-ups (no account) are retained until you unsubscribe. Account-holder data is retained for the lifetime of the account and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
7. Children
RoamSync is not directed at children under 16.
8. Changes
We will update this policy as the product grows. Material changes will be announced by email if you are on the list.
